Goodbye July, Hello August!

July is finally over. Welcome August!

What to expect on August?

Lot of things!
  • Midterm exam on the first week
  • City Fiesta
  • Mom's birthday at 22
  • Kuya Jeush' on 30
  • Friends' Birthday
  •
Why am I so updated with the birthdays? LOL! Indeed August is filled with celebrations. And I am equally hoping that there's something more that worth to be celebrated for- it could be achievements? more online opportunities? Promotions? Hmmm... Amen to them all!

By the way, I was so engrossed with this Camera 360 Apps on my phone this morning and I have this samples below which will be linked to today's BPC hosted by Our Home and Haven :)

BPC #30-Happy Monthsary!

It's been a month already since I gave birth to my Li'l Princess. Time flies so fast indeed! Right now, I am slowly recovering from the operation (CS), and guess what, for those who are not aware, I've been back to work since the 15th of this month! Many were really surprise for my early comeback. Well, I really have to because I cannot take a long maternity leave at the expense of my dear beloved students. I am very much careful anyway not to get stressed. Besides, teaching isn't really that stressful after all. As long as you know your lessons well everything will be okay. Not to mention asking the cooperation of the students (a sort of asking them not to give me any problem that will stress my beauty! LOL).
Right now, I am quite busy preparing for the Midterm Exam which will be conducted next week. And to make it quite easy for me, I'm blogging, blog hopping, updating my FB and browsing.
Ssshh my one month old baby is sleeping soundly :)

Saving for the Future

Spending money is easier than earning them. Every time I went for a grocery, Pp1,000.00 is not enough for 2 packs of diaper, 1.3kg milk, a box of Cerelac, a bottle of 5 gallon distilled water, an alcohol, cotton and tissue! This made me think of striving more by earning an extra income. Aside from the daily expenses, there are still so much things to consider like bills and debts to pay. Not only that, there should be an extra more for emergency use.

I was thinking of how to save money for my children's future. As we all know, we can no longer rely on plans and policies that are offered by insurance company. A colleague of mine offer me an insurance policy that is said to be more reliable and dependable. I was a bit hesitant because of the reputation of most insurance companies though the one she introduced to me has been established for almost a century. I am also considering opening an account for my children in a cooperative. I guess it is safer.

How about you? Can you teach me how and where to save for my children's future? I will appreciate your opinion.

Let's Practice ABC!

The bombing incident that recently shocked the Kagay-anons is something that all of us should be aware of. Taking precautions perhaps is the right thing to do. Crowded places is the usual target of the people behind this heinous crime. So for us individual, we should avoid going on those crowded places as much as possible. We must also be vigilant in our surroundings. Avoid giving prank jokes relating to bombs because there's a law that totally restrict it and offenders will be liable upon doing so. Not to mention the fear that it will surely cause to other people around you.
from Google images
If you'll ask me where's the safest place to stay that won't put your life in jeopardy, I guess there's none, I mean, there's no definite answer to that. Or you might insist that home is the safest place, it could be possible but not really guaranteed. A life-threatening accident could happen anytime,  anywhere and our home could never be an exemption to that. That is why we should be careful in everything and anything that we do. Let us practice ABC as in Always Be Careful.

Inspirational Saturday: The Days Are Evil...

Ephesians 5:15 (52 kb)
Life is unpredictable. We do not know what may lie ahead of us. If we listen to the news, we heard untoward incidents like natural calamities that affects many families, news about killing, suicidal missions, breakups, and a whole lot more! As a Christian, God warned us along the way. It was clearly written on His book all the things that we have to expect-specifically the worst case scenario. Indeed, the days are evil. That is why we should live our life to the fullest. Love, care and share while we still have time. We should be cautious enough on whom to mingle with. Let us try to influence others instead of the other way around unless it is for the better. Life is a gift, we should treasure it in such a way that when the time for us has come to leave this Earth, we have some legacy to impart with. Perhaps, the best legacy that we could leave here on Earth is knowing the fact that some lives are blessed because you existed and made a difference.

What's the Fuzz?

HEADLINE ON YAHOO NEWS TODAY:

KATE MIDDLETON DARES TO APPEAR IN PUBLIC WITH A POST PREGNANCY BELLY
So what if Kate Middleton dares to appear in public and unable to conceal her post pregnancy belly? Is that really a big deal? She just gave birth and there's no way she can hide it given the fact that what she wore is just a plain maternity dress and her beautiful locks. I so love this girl! No matter what she wears, she's a real beauty to me. And I truly admire her simplicity. Unlike other celebrities who forced themselves to please the public with the way they look, Kate really doesn't have to put so much effort to do so. The world knew he just gave birth to the future heir of the throne and whoever tries to comment about her belly is such a naive, close minded individual who probably don't get the chance (and will never be) to become a mother.

So to the royal couple, congratulations!

Welcome to the world, Prince George Alexander Louis!

Oh by the way, we should give credit to the late Princess Diana for this because without her, there'll be no Prince William and no Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge!

The Friday Five: Blog Love

I love visiting those blogs that could really inspire me that much and among those is Wanda's of The Watered Soul. I have been following her more than a year ago, in fact I put her widget on my side bar so that I could just simply click it once I want to visit her blog. However, it's been awhile already that I haven't paid her a visit due to limited access so now that I have the chance, I visited her blog once again and was inspired to join her weekly round-up entitled The Friday Five: Blog Love about posts that have inspired us in one way or another. I never hesitated to join because I want to share my best read this week as follows:

How much do you love Mickey Mouse? Be more inspired as you read  God is Better Than Mickey Mouse by Carol Hatcher of Internet Cafe Devotion.

If you think you've done nothing to deserve God's love, then read Inseparable Bond by Karlene Jacobsen of Undaunted Devotion.

Do you know about the Mesquite Tree and how can we relate our life with it?  This is such a good read then The Mesquite Tree - by Rachael DeBruin of Diamonds in the Rough.

God indeed provides ALL our NEEDS, need proof? then it's Testimony Time by Dineen Miller of Spiritually Unequal Marriage.

Finally, sharing God's word is not only for those who are mentally and physically fit. All of us can do it if we truly love God. Let us be challenged as we read the story of Katie at We Love Katie.com

To be honest, there are lots of inspirational reads that you can find in the blogosphere, let's read and share them so that others will be blessed as well.
  •  Have a blessed Friday everyone!

Gear Up for the Rain!

Ever since the University entrance gate was transferred to the old gate to give way to the on-going construction of another edifice, I have so much apprehension. One, it was quite a distance from the office which means more time to travel (by foot). Just imagine the distance I need to walk upon boarding off from the jeepney which was by the previous entrance gate to the CEA Faculty office! Well, don't think about it if you've never been there. Second, it's already rainy season and the entrance gate is just adjacent to the creek thus when there's a heavy rain, I made it sure that I won't stay long in school for fear of flood. It would be until next year that I have to endure all these things. Anyway, according to accuweather.com, there will be more rains to expect in the coming days... I need to replace my worn out umbrella and perhaps I will be needing a rain boots too. Oh by the way, the rumors about snow in the Philippines is nothing but just a rumor! Check it out here. But believe me, when I was still in Grade 3 and 6, it did rain some ice in Musuan Bukidnon (of course it's crushed or else!)

Sigh!

BPC #20: Capturing Sunday's Best

If the newborn baby boy of Prince William and Princess Kate is having a limited exposure, my Baby Jerusha got the opposite! LOL! Am just wondering what life would be in the Royal Kingdom?
Anyway, the royal baby's exposure is limited because he belongs to the royal blood. My baby does not belong to the royal blood, I'm blood type A positive after all LOL!
These pictures were taken by Lyle, one of our pretty young ladies in our church one Sunday afternoon. She thought my baby is so cute so she kept on taking pictures of her using her tab.

My li'l darling's cute little feet :)
Mama, what have they done to me?

Looking Good and Feeling Good

After three weeks from giving birth, I made it a point not to look overly stressed physically. Well, students tend to be too observant sometimes with their instructors that you have no idea what will they say about you behind your back. Sigh! I really don't care that much but somehow, being a teacher, you need to look good in order to feel good! Well, who will disagree with me?
I am not really fully made up when going to school. As long as I am comfortable with what I wear, I already felt good about it. A light make up using BB cream and a natural foundation will already do. Sometimes, I only wear BB cream alone. I seldom use lipstick because it will only cause my lips to crack but the one that my sister gave me suits me. It's NYC and the color is Blue Rose. I like the shade pretty much and I felt good wearing it.
This BB cream could last up to 6 months!

Blue Rose shade

I also tried using All-in-One foundation from Maybelline. I bought the small one just in case my skin won't suit to it. Before, I do have lots of pimples and thinking that it was caused by my cosmetics (BB Cream and pressed powder).  This one is said to be non- comedogenic plus it's a shine free foundation  (for oily type of skin like mine!).

Before, I tried using Amway's Dovera Pressed powder in Honey comb shade. It claimed to be organic so I use it hoping it will heal my blemishes. So far, I thought it really kept its promises because my face somehow improves upon using it. Well, that was what I'm really thinking because since then, there were no more breakouts on my face to my delight! However, Amway replaced it with another brand thus I cannot avail of such kind anymore. Well, hopefully, this All-in-One foundation from Maybelline will work equally good with Dovera. :). Well, it feels good to look good!

Painful Monday

Oops don't get me wrong. I am not being attacked with emotional outburst that made me think of giving the title Painful Monday for this post. Actually, I mean it literally as a result of post op dilemma. It was only this morning that I feel it. I was not suffering this kind of pain last week when I resumed working. I wish this won't affect my class this afternoon. And I am equally wishing that my students won't give me any headache today. :(

Praying for Four Wheels ;)

It's been three weeks already that the four of us joined the Sunday Fellowship and we're all full packed with our two babies' stuff. My hubby has to carry the bag, the baby's carrier and sometimes has to carry Kuya as well since I am not yet allowed to carry heavier things as post op no-nos. And it's been three Sundays as well that we were left with no other choice but to ride a taxi forth and back. That is why we've been praying for four wheels! Yeah I am so dead serious about it. There are four of us now and transporting in public vehicle is not only time consuming but very tasking as well.
Well, we just need to pray about it starting today. Who knows, God may consider it as a need and not a wants and eventually He will grant it in our most unexpected way! They said, when we pray, we have to be specific. Me and my hubby thought that models like that of Cherry QQ (the cutie one) is good enough as a start or perhaps a multicab will do so that we can also bring along with us our extended family whenever necessary, what d'you think?^-^

TGIF

I am so glad it's Friday, which means no class tomorrow thus I will have a lot of time to spend with my newborn and her Kuya. My Friday schedule is so hectic which starts from 9:00AM to 6:30PM (straight schedule, literally no break hour in between), all CADD subjects. Most of my students from these classes were my students before in Fundamentals of Drawing. At least I don't have a hard time knowing them all LOL! I still have to think how to have a make up class with them considering that the laboratory schedule is so hectic as well. I will try to innovate for the lectures even if we will use another room. Anyway, CADD subject isn't really that difficult after all. Familiarizing the command is all they need for every activity and project. As of today, we are still on Activity No. 1, Line Exercise and so far they seems to make it right. I am glad that by the time my classes end, the rain stop. It is really inconvenient to commute when it's raining. I dropped by at the Gaisano Mall to buy diapers for my babies earning additional points for our Suki Card. When I arrived home, my li'l girl is already sleeping and my my li'l boy greeted me with a smile :)
