Get Yourself a Safety Razor

How often do you shave? How safe is the razor that you are using? If shaving is part of your beauty regimen then reading this article is meant for you.

Shaving as what other people think are not only the concern of men, it is also the concern now of most women. I, for one, I do shaving regularly to get rid of those unwanted hairs on my armpit and legs. Gone were the days that only men has the right to use razor for shaving. I used to use disposable razor which is only good for two to three uses though the package says that it is only good for one use. The end result was cut and burns. This was my dilemma before because I tend to have cuts and burns one after another which eventually irritated my skin especially on my armpit.
To solve this dilemma, a friend advice me to use safety razor that uses blades that is suitable for longer use. The safety razor itself is quite expensive but worth the price because of its quality. If I tried to compare it with the disposable one I can still save for more considering that I only replace the blade when it becomes dull and the quality itself will save me from those unwanted cuts and burns.

Aside from using safety razor it is also advisable to use shaving cream or shaving soap. This will help us to have a smoother finish compared to just using ordinary soap. Just choose unscented one just in case you are allergic to scent. Men and women alike will surely have a wonderful shaving experience.

Ms Shamcey Supsup Made it to the 3rd Rank

I thought she could make it to the top but I came short with my expectation. Ms Shamcey Supsup made it to the third runner up only. Nevertheless, I am still so proud of her. Last year, Ms Venus Raj finished fourth and now the Philippines is moving forward, one crown higher than last year. This only goes to show that Filipina beauties are indeed global beauties. It's not only their charm and their looks that won them the crown, it is also their confidence on themselves and the faith they have for the talent and beauty that God have blessed upon them...

Congratulations, Miss Shamcey Supsup!

Congratulations also to this year's Miss Universe, Ms Angola, Leila Lopes! She's an  epitome of inner beauty and confidence!

The Next Generation Firewall

Computer nowadays have problems when it comes to unrestricted transmissions  from threats that will really harm the computer. That is why firewall is really needed.  However, some firewalls only allow enterprises to identify and control ports, IP addresses, and packets. Unlike the next generation firewalls from  Palo Alto Networks which uses three unique identification technologies to control applications, users, and content. These technologies are simply called App-ID, User-ID, and Content-ID. Palo Alto Networks is indeed the next generation firewall that we must acquire.

Friday Fragments: The Search Is Over

Mommy's Idea

It's Friday indeed! Look how time flew so fast...

For the previous two weeks,  me and my hubby are in terrible dilemma: finding a place to stay. Anyway, allow me to share again to you the happenings for the whole week. But before that, please read this featured post on my other blog so you can really follow our story...

Accommodation For Free?

Saturday- Hubby and I went to my colleagues' place, the one whom I am referring to on my featured post. We just went there to see the motorcycle that we planned to buy on him (on installment basis as we initially agreed). It is already used but still functioning well. When we get there, he opened up again about offering his house for us to stay for free. As if left with no choice, hubby and I decided to take the offer considering that it is the only option that was left for us on that very moment. We just badly need a place to stay. Together with his wife, they presented there vacant garage. A little renovation, he said, will do. He also gave us another option, which is their room since they can use the room of their son who is in Manila applying for abroad. (They were the only one left in the house because their younger daughter was in Manila as well reviewing for Architecture exam). We went back to church that day with  our mind already made up to transfer on the following day.

Sunday- We go back to their place right after the service to finally talk to them about their offer. So we all agreed to have a share on utility bills. The couple are so kind and really very much understanding.

Monday- Supposedly we are about to transfer however we got a problem transporting our things because it was raining so we decided to spend the night on the church. We just informed the couple that we cannot make it that night as promised.

Tuesday- Finally we made it and it is our first night there. The feeling isn't that easy at first but they tried to make us feel comfortable as much as possible. Hubby is not feeling well again.

Wednesday- Waking up in new environment is a strange feeling. The couple wake up so early. We went to school together. My hubby was left alone to arrange our things. He is still not feeling well again during that time.

Thursday- a day before my birthday. We went home late because I have a late night class. I wasn't able to overcome yet the shyness (or was it the right term?) But the couple are really so kind that they really welcome us with all hospitality.

Friday- my 30th. Yes it is! We didn't went home there, instead we went home to my parents. We just informed them that we are not going home that night.

I know that our stay there was not for good.. but I am very much thankful that there are such generous people like them who still exist on this very practical world...

That's it... the Search is over (as for now...)

Though we are still praying that somebody, we could really have a house that we can call our own!

Thanks for following... Hope to see you next week!
God bless.

Can the Post Office Survive the Digital Age?

My attention was caught with this headline from WebProNews to which I am a subscriber. With the electronic mails we have right now which is very much convenient and fast, how can the snail mail survive and compete with such technology?

People are doing so many things online these days. People can even earn their bachelor degree online when it is convenient, and people love email.

Well, we cannot deny the fact that electronic mails are indeed very helpful especially for us who are rushing against time. However, we cannot deny the fact as well that snail mail has something that the e-mail cannot give. For me, I would appreciate it more to receive any personal communication such as love notes  that is personally written knowing that it's the thoughts that really counts. It may take some times to send and receive but the efforts will really pays off if such mail was sent with love. As far as I've known as well, Legal Departments transmit their communications like replies to Motion, Petition, and other Notices through registered mails. Therefore, I should say that Post Office can still survive the Digital Age, not unless everyone is such in a hurry. :)

Generosity May Starts at $1 (A Special Project)

It's been almost three years already since I started my blogging career and I never initiated any give-away contest, not even on my Blogversary... Well, I couldn't think of anything else today (it's my 30th birthday tomorrow by the way) other than thinking on how to earn and save more for my upcoming baby. Blogging opportunities are in drought I guess lol! This dilemma made me think of some project which will involve your generosity my dear co-blogger. I won't be asking for somebody to sponsor any give-away contest but rather, I need somebody who is willing to give $1 (yes, just $1 though you are not hindered nor deprived to give more lol!). I believe that such amount doesn't hurt that much on your pocket ;). This will also allows me to identify those co-bloggers whose willing to give even just a little out from the willingness of their heart...

So, if you are game into this, just give your $1 to my paypal address at jackie090981@yahoo.com with the subject: A Penny for Your Baby.

then Link up so that I could get back to you to say Thank You!

It doesn't take an online masters in accounting to realize that $1 isn't much, but it could help me so much. Your generosity is really appreciated. :)

This project will run until January 1, 2012. My expected due to give birth is on mid-January. I won't be withdrawing such amount until January 2, 2012.

Just click this button for your whole heart support.

Thank you!

WFW: LUST

Just this morning, our Daily Devotional topic was focused on 1John 2: 15-17:

15 Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father[a] is not in them. 16 For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. 17 The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.

LUST...

Lust of the eyes... that's how sin was conceived. Then the  lust of the flesh follows fully supported with the pride of life.

Normally, whenever we saw things that are appealing to us it caused us to do something in order to acquire it. Just as Eve was tempted with the fruit of the trees upon seeing it (with the Devil's deceitful scheme) so are we with the things on this world. By the time she ate it, it's her flesh that entice her to commit such act thinking that what the serpent have told her are true-  which is knowing all things just like God (that's pride of life!)

We should be careful enough in discerning the things that is of this world... We might enjoy all the things that we have right now but we should not forget that this will all come to pass, nothing is permanent in this world therefore we should not be too attached on everything that the world can offer... Let's fix our eyes to what is eternal. Do not try to bite the fruit of deception that was offered by Satan...

Open office: The Dilemma

For security reason, the ICT management in our school decided to use Open Office Applications. The transitions was indeed very difficult for us who are used in using Microsoft Applications. How I wish a seminar will be conducted. My colleague have the dilemma in adjusting the printing settings specially for the Spreadsheet (Excel equivalent). The footers cannot be printed. Indeed, it really consumed much of our time in adjusting the settings every time we have to print, not to mention the wasted papers. Normally, adjustment period really takes time. We have no choice but to adapt the changes. Anyway, only few things are needed to be mastered. Though OpenOffice Application is closely similar to Microsoft Application, it still needs mastery, and patience perhaps? :)
