Five Questions Friday

Thank God It's Friday!

I have joined this meme before and right now, I am excited to answer their five  given questions again:

1. If you were free to just hop in the car and drive, where would you go? Or, if you could hop a plane and go anywhere, where?

the famous Tarsier
Panglao Island
- Could it be on a ship? I wanna go to Bohol. The last time that I went there was when my grandpa died... I wanna explore the wonders of Bohol and see a tarsier! I wanna go to Panglao Island too!

2. What's your most recently read favorite book?
- Chicken Soup for the Soul... so inspiring :)

3. What's your favorite Spring Break memory?
- We don't have Spring here in the Philippines, only Summer... So far, last Summer I was too busy in preparing for my wedding :) We had our Pre-Nuptial in one secluded area in our place that only few have known about that place.

4. What do you put in your child's Easter basket? Or, for those w/o kids, what was put in your childhood basket?
- My baby is still two months old (today) so most probably there will be no Easter basket. But if give the situation, I would love to put candies and chocolates on it

5. Do you get a summer haircut?
-Yup! One week ago!
Then...
AND

Now

That's it! How about you? Have fun and answer all the questions and link up with Mama M.

#81/366: Kape ug Monay

I am glad it's Thursday! Tomorrow, it's gonna be my baby's second month! (Glory to God!) This morning isn't so busy so I have all the time to blog, to sip coffee and eat bread... After consuming everything, I've got this urge again (urge?) to sketch, so I grab a pencil and a scratch paper and have my output scanned by my ever supportive colleague :)

I love to sketch, but I don't apply colors coz I am not good in doing it. I am a certified frustrated artist LOL. If I have nothing to do, I really love doodling of any object that will pop into my mind. When I was still in elementary, I had a classmate who loves to draw, so out of interest, I tried to do the same thing. It was only then that I realized that I have this passion within me. I really love to draw. But I cannot be a good cartoonist nor a cartographer because I cannot draw based on description, my imagination is not that vivid. I cannot really copy an object. I am not good in still painting, everything is imaginary.  I also tried charcoal painting before and with the help of graphing method, I was able to sketch the portrait of a friend exactly the way she looks. However when I applied shading everything was ruined. All I can do is purely sketching. PERIOD. No shading and color application- I failed on that area. But somehow this talent help my nephew and nieces in the completion of their art projects.  It also made me won on some Poster Making Contest (just a placer though :). But there's one art/drawing project that I hated the most- that is drawing an animal figure LOL.

Well, I am linking this post for Blog Photo Challenge

#79/366: Anchor Man?

My hubby loves anything that has something to do in Electronics. He is into music as well... He is the sound technician in the church but he has no formal training about it. He didn't earned any units on this field but he wants to learn something more especially the basic theories so he enrolled in a short term course in Electronics under TESDA (sponsored by the LGU). He finally appreciates the importance of having knowledge in the things that he loves to do. Go go go baby!

Hopefully Waiting

isn't he cute when he yawns? :)

It's another blessed Monday! Whew! Time flew so fast indeed... This Friday, by God's grace, my baby will be now two months old. I am not totally well yet but I am slowly recovering from this terrible cough. As usual, I don't have enough sleep because my baby's sleeping pattern compelled me to stay awake til 1PM.

Another week to conquer, another challenges to overcome. It is through God's grace that we were able to get through our daily needs. It's been three Sundays already that we were not able to go to church. My hubby took a short term course in Electronics, unfortunately it falls on Sunday. His instructor is still trying to squeezed his availability for Saturday. I find it difficult to got to church alone with my baby because he is quite heavy already plus I need to bring along with me all baby stuff. Well, hopefully God will understand, after all it's not the attendance that really matters, it's the heart.

On the 26th, we will have an appointment with my baby's pediatrician. He will have his first shot of  Haemophilus Influenzae Type b HiB Vaccine which will cost us P 1,500.00 per shot or roughly 37 USD. I am still hopefully waiting for a big break... I mean, financial breakthrough. My income in article writing really helps me. As of now, I am still waiting for more opportunities. I am also accepting ghost writing from my co-bloggers because they can pay me immediately. I also enjoyed writing and it somehow help me in developing my writing skills (hitting two birds in one shot- earning and learning). I am beginning to love the life that I have right now. I try not to focus on the difficulties, rather, I try to be more positive in every challenges that we encounter everyday. It is not that easy, but by God's strength, which I always ask for everyday, I become stronger. My hubby was also very supportive though we have misunderstanding sometimes but at the end of the day, we have still each other, helping together to overcome it all. My baby is also a real blessing to us. I really love him so much. I feel complete as a woman simply because I already have him.

Top 5 Tips For Handling Your Legal Issues

There’s no question about it, we live in a complicated world. Financial, corporate and legal structures are increasingly complex, and dealing with these issues can be daunting. Due to this, there are times when it’s smart to seek out professional help in dealing with serious legal issues, whether it involves personal disputes, marital or child custody problems, or serious problems in the workplace.
The best lawyers, however, whether a New York personal injury lawyer or a California-based family law practitioner, will tell you that the key to handling legal issues is to stay calm, level-headed, and well-informed. Let’s take a look at some advice for handling legal problems, whether personal or business-related, in a way that ensures a good outcome. Here are the top five tips for handling your legal issues, safely and sanely.

Stay Unemotional

File:Emotions.gif
Image via Wikipedia
This may sound simple enough, but it’s a key aspect of handling potentially loaded legal problems effectively. Legal conflicts can spiral out of control if emotions are not kept in check. When involved in a serious legal situation, seek sound help and counsel from a therapist if needed. Keeping emotions under control can save time, money and help to avoid conflicts during a legal situation.

Stay Open to Compromise

A willingness to compromise and find a “third way” of resolution can work wonders and can smooth out potential conflicts before they become too expensive and irresolvable. An attitude of “my way or the highway” is not a winning attitude. When in doubt, always compromise.
Research on the Situation
Do as much study and research in advance as possible before a case goes to court. A well-informed client is an asset to a case.

Seek Good Counsel

The practice of law is complex, with laws changing constantly. Though it is indeed important to do research and be as well-informed as possible about the issues at hand, it’s also critical to have sound legal advice from a knowledgeable professional. Get a good lawyer whose advice can be trusted, and listen to their counsel.

Take the High Ground

Some legal issues, especially those involving workplace conflicts and marital and divorce issues, can become highly charged. Unfortunately, the price for becoming adversarial in these situations is high. If matters become emotionally charged, step back, take a few deep breaths, and seek counsel. Though it may be tempting to take an adversarial stance against a legal foe, the outcome is rarely worth the price.
Taking legal action is a potentially stressful endeavor. Staying calm and well-informed, and seeking good counsel is the key to successfully navigating a tricky legal situation most of the time.

Headlines...

Here I am again with my simple thoughts from my almost empty mind... I am supposed to have my class tonight but I'm not feeling well so I just let them submit their project for checking. Being a teacher is not an easy task especially if you have those now-you-see, now-you- don't type of students. If I have to be strict, there'll be more than five students who will really get a failing marks on my subject. Good thing others opt to drop this subject while others just simply disappear.

Well, another headache to overcome, I am totally unwell while writing this article. I've got a runny nose (I wonder how did this phrase "runny nose" become an adjective or shall I say noun in referring to almost unmanageable colds) Anyway, so much for that, I really have a hard time understanding all the rules in English language-but this is not my point of focus tonight.

A lot of not-so-good-things really happened nowadays. The news of killing, kidnapping. vehicular accidents, suicidal issues seems so normal occurrences that it does not bother the whole society anymore (except for those who are directly affected). The impeachment trial for Chief Justice Corona are still on process. As for me, this case becomes too personal that it becomes so clear through the media. Natural calamities also try to steal the focus. Indeed, my dear Philippines are bombarded with so many issues...

Locally, I am also getting sick and tired with all those bickering among politicians who are all aiming to seek local position on the next year's election. if you will listen daily to the radio, you can really tell if the said radio station are in favor with the current Administration or not. Anyway, they claim to be impartial with their opinions and they favored no one. but it was their claims (though you can really weigh it the way they deliver their issues).

So many issues to tackle upon but there's one question that I would like to seek for an answer... For how long will the evacuees  of the Typhoon Sendong who stayed on some public schools, churches and covered courts remain on their situation? For how long will they rely on the support of the government and other concerned citizen? The situation at the Tent City isn't really that good per hearsay... Well, obviously, when the rain falls, the place where Tent City was located is a great mistake.

So many things  that really caught my attention. But honestly, all these will just suddenly creep into my mind while I am alone or when I am on the public utility vehicle (jeepney) patiently waiting for the driver to finally take the wheel when the vehicle was already filled with passengers. Mind you, the  traffic also makes my mind wander. While going into my destination, there I can see the roads being renovated with that sign SLOW DOWN, MEN WORKING AHEAD which will take for some months or worst years to finish! (That is why the word DOWN was greatly emphasized! LOL)

But all those thoughts and observations will completely vanish on my mind when I am already home. You know why? Because all I could think of was my baby, whom I know is waiting to be cuddled in my arms. My precious baby who became the reason why I work harder to supply all his needs...  That is why I am working hard as well on blogging to have an additional income :)
However, I won't be able to stay near to him tonight because I have colds and I don't want him to get that virus from me T_T

Mood Swings?

Each one of us have experienced mood swings, specially for women. And based on my own experience, I do felt down sometimes without knowing why. It just happen naturally. I sometimes wonder what made me so down. I tried to recount the past that might caused me to feel such thing. Mood swing is indeed inevitable.

However, mood swing can also happen to men. They are just not showy like women do. In United States, people take mood enhancers to cope up with mood swings. Mood enhancers in a form of smoke becomes popular in United States and its legal. If they don't feel like going into a party, they have party enhancers that will automatically change their moods. I really don't know how effective it was but Herbal City LLC gives the assurance that their product really works.

Herbal City is an online site that sold herbal products of many kinds. They also have K6 herbal incense potpourri and Spiritual powder. You can place your orders via online and you must be 18 years above to purchase their products. They also offer free shipping worldwide.

Movie Review: Ang Babae sa Septic Tank

I was amused upon watching the movie of Eugene Domingo last night entitled "Ang Babae sa Septic Tank". It was an indie film that earned Eugene Domingo a Best Actress award from Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival last year. She was also nominated for an international award. The story was centered on the three aspiring film makers who are trying to come up with an Indie film movie about the frustrated mother (to be played by Eugene Domingo) with seven children who sold one of his sons just to save the others. The plot of the story was somehow realistic especially the setting.  Eugene Domingo was indeed a very versatile actress whose acting prowess is simply amazing. Watch the movie so you will know how it got its title. :)
