Yes indeed, sometimes the reason why people became disoriented and confronted in a chaotic situation was that they easily believe on "hearsays". We should be keen enough in filtering all the things that we hear. Even if the one telling it claimed his statements to be a fact, we must still search for the truth. People are bound to commit a mistakes. We must receive wisdom and discernment from God in believing one's story or statement.

 I do believe that one reason why there are so many religious affiliations/denominations nowadays was because people believe on the traditions they have grown up with. They merely believe on the concepts and instructions given by their elders without taking time to search for its credibility. As a result, they acquire the kind of faith that was apart from the teaching of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Like what Hebrews 2:1 says, we must pay the most careful attention, therefore to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away. 

Always refer to our Life's Manual which is the Bible. As we all knew, the Bible has the Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth.

There comes a time in our life where we seek for something we do not know... 

We are totally confused and disoriented. We felt some emptiness within us. Spiritually, we are totally dried up. It happens to me not only once but oftentimes. I admit, I became too complacent that I tend to forget to feed my soul with His Words...

If I will not go to church, I will never hear nor read a passages from the Bible. Sometimes I felt guilty also because going to church becomes a routine itinerary. But I am amazed of how God reminded me. He reminded me in the middle of my busyness... or between the lines that I read from the blog, from my Our Daily Journey devotional pocket book and from the wall posts of my friends on their Facebook. He blatantly reminded me of His existence. I cannot shun Him out of my life no matter what. I can feel how He holds me tight so that I cannot let go of Him anymore. 

I downloaded a bible so that I can read it with just a double-click from my mouse. Indeed, God's presence is inevitable... We cannot run away from Him.

I am so glad for those people who helps me along the way... Who blessed me with their words of wisdom and inspiration...

If I am in the mall, I just can't get rid of the Bingo announcer giving numbers to the players. I wonder how Bingo was being played. I am wondering as well why there are so many people playing such addicting games. Then I just learned that Bingo can be played via online as well. There are many bingo sites who offers the same fun as the actual play site. Well, I still do not want to learn this game fearing that I might get hooked into it like others did if I will do so.

The Stylish Blogger Award continues as Joahna of What's Inside Joahna's Heart gave it to me. First was yesterday from Ate Grace of Gracia Fashionista. I was indeed flattered that finally my blog was noticed by some respectable bloggers. Not only that, I got a comment from The Story Teller Kim who justified that I deserve for such award.

Yesterday, I shared 7 things about me, as one of the rules in having this award, I made to mention that I still have a lot of things to say about myself. I guess, this is the chance that I will tell more about myself, specifically, the 7 things that I disliked the most... (I refrain from using the word "hate" anymore. I might offended somebody)

7 Things I Disliked The Most

1. I dislike people who smoke. They don't care about themselves.
2. I dislike (hate is the right word, I guess) unfaithful partner, it reminds me of somebody supposedly close to me.
3. I dislike the taste of durian fruit (sorry Davaoeños).
4. I dislike rap music as well as heavy metal.
5. I dislike people who will just use you for their own good/benefit and forget about you when they already achieved everything they want out of using you.
6. I dislike Calculus subject. (I never took this when I was in College ;)
7. I dislike pretentious, unreal, insensitive and over-confident people.

But of course, I respect the opinion of others who feel the contrary of what I disliked the most. We are unique and different in so many ways. Peace....

It's been quite awhile that I haven't received any form of blogger award. The first one was the "A Blog with Substance Award" that was 10th of July last year...

Well, I've got so many things to resolve on my work habits for this year and hopefully until my retirement period. I have this "ningas-kugon" syndrome. It's a Filipino idiomatic phrase which describes a person who do not persevere on his goals/ objectives/ plans/ etc. The energy level took its tool at the start of the plan or task but eventually diminish after a shorter period of time. I have a lot of things on my mind that I want to do. Lately, I became so disorganized that I do not know which should comes first and all. Every task given was urgent and well, I am diligent enough to finish it. One thing I noticed was that I have this objectives laid down on my mind and by the time it was implemented , it really works however, I just cannot maintain such energy level for long. Another thing was that I used to procrastinate the things that are not really urgent but significant to my job. My mind was so preoccupied of so many things. Well, actually, I am too busy with few unimportant things.

Below are the lists of the things that I should keep on doing in order to make my work organized:

1. Update my data base of files received and files forwarded for easy reference when needed.
2. Actual daily accomplishments to keep track of my improvement.
3. Weekly monitoring of updates from different offices.
4. Daily post for my blog ;)
5. Paradigm shift of the way I think, do and say.      

I just hope I could overcome such bad habit and continue doing what is need to be done.

Today is her birthday.

Women are said to be undescribable in so many ways. Men is the best group to  be asked about their opinion on women. There are many behavioral pattern of women that some men may find it difficult to deal with. I love the song entitled " She's Always A Woman To Me". My significant other may not know about this song or haven't sing this even just for once, but based on its lyrics, I can really really relate to it. The way Billy Joel, the composer,  describe the woman is indeed very much true. Yes, I often changes my mind, unable to make a fixed decision unless I will be enlightened. I frequently have mood swings especially when provoked. I do not really know how he perceived me. But the fact that he remains, it only goes to show that the patience of my very impatient man has gone beyond his limits.

I just hope that one day, he'll get to sing this song for me.

Being a teacher, I am not used of making lesson plans the traditional way. What I did was I make an outline of my lessons, giving more emphasis on the main points to discuss, and convert my Word file into a pdf file. This is how I deliver my lesson, having quite fascination in technology, I always have my computer as my buddy during my lecture- demo class. We have a program in our laboratory wherein we can directly send documents to my student's computer right in their station. Since I have converted it into pdf, they need PDF Viewer to view my lesson. This is indeed very helpful because aside from the fact that it makes my lesson easier, my students who are more technical than me can easily grasp our discussions. Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!

While waiting for the meeting to start... err.. for the lunch to be served right after the fellowship, these group of YOUNG LADIES (ahem!) can't resist the flash of the camera ;)

I just realized then that indeed I am not young anymore... lol!

Losing someone we dearly love is indeed so difficult to bear. But I salute the kind of strength that Pastor Lito have shown while giving his acknowledgment speech. I can feel his pain and his unwavering faith and yet he remain calm.

To Ate Alma, whom I have only known for the past three years, but left a great lasting impression in my heart, you are so blessed to be back in Our Father's arms again. The pain you went through were just now a history of the life you left here on Earth. If I couldn't hold back the tears and pain, how much more for your bereaved family who will forever and ever cherish you. 

However, the following poem which was read to us during the funeral service somehow lighten up the mood. I thanked Ate Grace for this:
