WFW: Aware Yet Taken For Granted

All of us are aware that Jesus Christ is indeed our One and only Saviour, however, many of us just simply took it for granted... Sad, but it's true. I was even so surprised when one of my students said that she do not believe in HELL. The young generation today is in danger... Most of them are blinded from the truth. They are too preoccupied with all the comforts that the world could offer...

All About Remote Controlled Cars

Remote Controlled, Or RC Cars Can Operate In Many Kinds Of Environments You may own remote controlled cars, or RC cars as they are known, but perhaps you're a little vague on how exactly they work. RC cars typically run on battery power or gasoline and can operate in a number of varied environments, but do best on a flat, solid surfaces where they can muster the maximum amount of traction. They all operate in a similar fashion. A transmitter sends out radio waves, and remote controlled cars receive the radio waves, or electromagnetic frequencies. When the car receives the radio waves it is guided by the signals. If you're operating the RC car, you likely have a remote control box with controls that you manipulate, and this is translated into radio waves the transmitter sends to the receiver inside the car. The radio waves drive the motor. Lots of different kinds of controllers are available on the market, and although they all operate on the same principles, you'll find that there is a variety of different grips, the way each feels as you hold it, and different feels of maneuvering that sets them apart. You should try out a number of them and choose the one that feel best to you. Your receiver is normally a circuit board inside your car with either an internal antenna or an external one that receives radio signals sent by your transmitter. The receiver interprets the radio signals for the motor and that allows the person at the controls to make the motor perform as he wishes. Your motor is the backbone of your RC car, because it's the workhorse that controls the wheels, or in the case of an RC plane, the propeller, and other oscillating parts. The motor is the nerve center where radio signals are converted into pure mechanical drive, which increases or decreases speed, and handles your car's maneuvering. The motor, however, can only perform two functions, and two functions only: it can go, and it can stop. More sophisticated RC cars might have three or more gears that the motor drives, and which set the car in motion. The gear system is a mini-transmission that helps power RC cars through rugged terrain. It can help the car handle challenging courses that might include steep hills and formidable obstacles. Remote control cars may run on electricity or gasoline the latter if it's an especially advanced model. With either fuel source the car will function in essentially the same way. The fuel used to run your car depends entirely on which one it is designed for. Gasoline-powered car will operate with more power, and they can be used in rugged terrain, while electrically powered cars do best on a flat surface, like your sidewalk or even the living room floor.

MYM: Beware!

If only all the corners of the world are installed with CCTV Cam then most probably many will be guilty of the sin called "ADULTERY" ...  It is NOT wrong to admire, but it would be dangerous if such admiration is coupled with lustful desire.
Beware.

Taking The Lead

Making a difference is perhaps one of the biggest things that an individual could make for his society. In our church, our youth leaders (BOB and Femmes) made an effort to organize a youth camp intended for those young people who are seeking God's love and wisdom. The theme was Connect, Renew, Survive - GOD STRUCK! Through God's help, everything went on so smoothly and the three-day camp (October 28- 30, 2011) ended with a blast! I am so happy as well to see one of my students actively participating there. Looking forward to have more! Go go go young people!

Personality Development

This morning, I got the chance to attend the Seminar on Personality Development- tackling about how to have a power personality. The seminar was so refreshing and I was more than satisfied. I could just hope that the presence of the Big Bosses in our school should be there so that they too will be reminded of the basic manners in dealing with other people most especially to their subordinates. Lot of things were discussed. They have personal grooming, phone etiquette (whew! Wish they were there!) and other basic disciplines that were already taught to us (but somewhat forgotten) when we were still in our pre-school years.Every time the speaker cite an example, it made me think of someone else whom should be present right at that moment for that person to realize that his mannerism was indeed unprofessional and should be corrected. Well, the request to conduct such kind of seminar was from the Office of the Human Resource Management and the approving body was of course those authorized authority whom I think would be better if there presence was also there. Yeah!

How to Encourage Reading in Your Children

Parent often find it a challenge to have their children read book, especially with all the distractions technology give these days – the internet, video games, movies and cartoons on television. Here are some tips to encourage reading in your children:

1.Read yourself. Children learn from example. If they see you reading, they will eventually model after you and read too.
2.Make books accessible and available. Most children who are readers live in homes that have a lot of books that are not only on display but are accessible for them to read.
3.Make reading fun. Acting out and using different voices is a sure fun way to read stories to your children.
4.Give books as gifts.
5.Provide quiet time. Experts say that children (school-age children and below most notably) should only be exposed to two hours worth of screen time each day – this included TV time, video games, computer/internet and game gadgets (PSP, Xbox, etc). Having quiet time will let your children be creative with their free time and they can turn to physical play and reading.
6.Read frequently, or have a schedule for it.  Offer to read to young children everyday, even several times a day.  Encourage older independent readers to read everyday as well, and engage them in conversation about what they're reading.
7.Start a word list. Compile a list of words that they usually come across with. Make it their dictionary.

Above all, praise your children and tell them they are doing a good job in trying and learning to read.

WFW: Fear

Mark 6: 50
50 because they all saw him and were terrified.
Immediately he spoke to them and said, “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”
Most of us are living in fears... Fear to face the truth and take the challenges... Fear to face the consequences of all our actions and above all , fear of accepting defeat.
How to overcome fear?
Overcoming fear is easier said than done.
Our fear disable us to show our potentials maybe because we have the fear of rejection.
Our fear hinders us to do the will of God for fear of correction...
Fear cripples our potential, hides our motivation...
But if we only trust God everything that is within us, fear would be just a word...

But there's one kind of fear that each one of us must remember- that is the fear of the Lord for we knew that it is the beginning of all wisdom.

Proverbs 1:7

New International Version (NIV)
7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge,
but fools[a] despise wisdom and instruction.

Notable Graphic: WE

The message is clear: WE instead of ME
In order to achieve a lasting relationship, we need to look beyond ourselves... we need to be humble and most of all, we need to cooperate with each other. One of the factors why relationship fails is the fact that nobody cares to humble down... One wants to outsmart the other, and the other wants to do the same. Such a sad scenario but it did really happen. There might be no perfect organization, no perfect group, no perfect community but if one will only consider the welfare of the group as a whole, then everything will be in order regardless of the weaknesses that each member might have.
It's time to make a difference... If we all aim to build a lasting relationship, it needs a strong foundation- and that foundation is what we called COOPERATION.
And talking about cooperation, it is not easy. It requires a strong desire to help people; something like earning an MSW online, an educational course that will equip us in doing social works which will allow us to serve other people.

Movie Sightings: Lagaan

I super like the movie of Amir Khan entitled, Lagaan (Once Upon A Time In India). I watched it last night with my hubby. The story itself already impressed me the most. I also appreciate Amir's exceptional talent when it comes to acting. All of his movies are kinda musical in type. Among his movies that I've watched are the Ghajini, 3 Idiots, and Every Child is Special.

The story is quite long (more than three hours, as usual) but rest assured that you will really love the movie. Winning a battle doesn't necessarily includes casualties...

Watch the trailer:

All in all with regards to its cinematography, It was beautifully filmed and went well beyond visual basic training

I am back! I started the weekdays with a question on Meet Me On Monday and I am going to end it up with today's Five Question Friday.... And here it goes:

1. Do you prefer your ice cream in a bowl or in a cone?
-Cone... Wafer cone to be exact!

2. What three things do you love the smell of?
       - I am so sensitive to any scents now with my situation (pregnant) but I used to love the scent of my Givenchy Beach Girl, the scent is so feminine...

3. Giftcards or no? (In regards to gift giving...)
      - with gift cards of course! otherwise your gift will be mistaken as something like there's a bomb inside considering that it has no card or a tag attached to it?

4. What sports did you play in high school if any and do you still play them?
- Badminton... However, I didn't take it seriously and I haven't played it anymore...

5. Were you in band in high school? What instrument did you play?
- Not in High School but in my college days. I used to be a vocalist in a band whom we called as "Down to Earth Band. We even tried to join in band competition... :)
