WFW: Isaiah 40:31

Everyday we are confronted with so many challenges.
Depending on the degree of the challenges, we do sometimes lose hope and discouraged to move on. This is the right time that we should anchor our strength back to God. Its His strength that will sustain us and keep us.
Remember, apart from Him we are nothing...
Apart from Him we can do nothing...
Apart from Him where will we be?

Therefore, let us hope in the Lord always...
Knowing that He is with us will give us the confidence to stand firm and move on. Because someday, we will gonna be with Him.

Let us soar high like eagles!

MYM: Minute Maid Got Me! After A Long Wait

MellowYellowBadge

This is how it was started:

I joined Minute Maid's Pump up Your Blog Contest. The mechanic was so easy that it was some sort of fill-in-the blanks with the right adjectives. There are two ways to win, pump up your blog with their backgrounds or join the blog contests and post some comments with your fellow contestants. I chose the latter. I used to join so many contests via blog and so far, I won twice already out of so many contests lol!

Anyway, to make the story short, I was so surprised when my co-blogger Kayce congratulated me on my fb wall for winning one month supply of Minute Maid being the Best Commenter! Wow, I was really flabbergasted!
See my reply? I was really surprised then.

So hurriedly, i check the Minute Maid wall, since I am a fan of them to verify the blessings:
and so it was confirmed...

I tried to browse my winning comment and realized that indeed it pays to be honest with everything you said:

A comment for Grace Marquez' blog

I patiently wait for my Minute Maid supply to arrive, though it took quite a while but the long wait is over.

Yes, indeed. After a long wait, my one-month supply of Minute Maid has finally arrived. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to personally received it since I gave my home address (where I seldom go home :)

Mom, are you trying to count 1 up to 12?
It was my mother who received the package, a door-to-door delivery from Air21 yesterday afternoon.

The package contains one case of 1L Minute Maid x 12 bottles.
Thank you Coca-cola, see the date this pic was taken?

And so, since I do not go home regularly, I asked my Mom to bring me some, and yes I got it! Though she brought only two and gave the other one to her colleague it's still okay. I will let them enjoy the healthy goodness of Minute Maid at home.

Weee.... finally, my thirst for pulpy orange juice will be quenched! A bottle of Minute Maid a day, help keeps the cough and cold away!

want some?

Saturday 9# 1: You Were Meant For Me

Aloha!

Here I am again while bloghopping, I stumbled upon the blog of this Saturday meme, SATURDAY 9, hosted by Samantha. The mechanics are so simple, just answer her nine questions and you're in. Of course don't forget to link with her after answering all of these...

As for this week, the theme is You Were Meant For Me. This is one of my favorite songs by Jewel.

Saturday 9: You Were Meant For Me

1. Have you ever felt that you were “made” for someone or some purpose?
- ABSOLUTELY YES! WE ARE HERE FOR A REASON- THAT IS THE INEVITABLE TRUTH ☺

2. What do you do when you have a problem that you can't do anything about it?
- I LEAVE IT ALL TO OUR OMNIPOTENT, OMNIPRESENT AND OMNISCIENT GOD. IS THERE A BETTER WAY TO FACE IT THAN THIS?

3. If marijuana were to be legalized, do you think it should be taxed?
- IF MARIJUANA WILL BE LEGALIZED THEN PERHAPS IT'S NOT ONLY TAXED THAT SHOULD BE IMPOSED, THOSE WHO MADE IT LEGAL SHOULD BE PENALIZED. IMAGINE THE YOUNGER GENERATION WHO WILL SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES.

4. What is one thing you should never do on a first date?
- ALLOWING THE MAN TO TOUCH YOU NOR KISS YOU.

5. If someone (at gunpoint) forced you to receive a portrait tattoo of someone, who would it be?
- MY HUGGYBEAR OF COURSE! ♥

6. Is tomorrow going to be a good day?
- I AM POSITIVE. EVERYDAY IS A DAY WE SHOULD ALWAYS LOOK FORWARD TO.

7. Anything fabulous happen to you last night?
- NOPE.

8. For a few years in a row, you receive a nice tax refund: do you make an adjustment with your payroll deduction so they’ll take less, or do you leave it that way so that you can continue to receive the big check every spring?
-WHATEVER IS RIGHT, THAT'S THE THING THAT I SHOULD DO. PERSONALLY, I DO NOT GET A TAX REFUND BUT I PAY MY TAX REGULARLY SINCE IT IS DEDUCTED ON OUR PAYROLL.

9. When was the last time you had butterflies in your stomach?
- DURING MY FIRST DAY OF CLASS (MY FIRST TIME TO TEACH). BUT OF COURSE I NEVER LET MY STUDENTS NOTICE IT (TOO OBVIOUSLY). I JUST PAUSED AND STARED AT THEM WHEN I GET LOST OF WHAT TO SAY LOL!

whew! that's all for today...

WFW: 24/7 Call and Pray Unlimited

Pray without ceasing...
I am definitely struggling on this area...
I prayed but not as often as I should be.
Maybe this is the reason why I was always confronted with problems...
It is not because God did not love me...
He just want to show to me that in everything, He is in control.
He wants to remind me that apart from Him I am absolutely nothing!

Getting connected with Him isn't really that complicated...
As long as our motive is right, He will always listen...
Though sometimes we can feel the delay, but actually, it is NOT
Because God's time is definitely the RIGHT TIME.

Are You Threatened By The Rain?

Many are quite afraid to play with the rain... It is because of fear that the rain could be toxic as a result of the exploded nuclear plants in Fukushima Japan.

I received that threatening text message yesterday which goes like this:

BBC FLASHNEWS: Japan government confirms radiation leak at Fukushima nuclear plants. Asia countries should take necessary precautions. Remain indoors first 24hrs. Close doors & windows. Swab neck skin with betadine where thyroid area is, radiation hits thyroid first. Take extra precautions. Radiation may hit Phil at starting 4pm today. Pls send to your loved ones.

Threatening indeed. But I was not really alarmed. Before I received that text I was at the Administration building and when I came out from the building the rain poured and I have no umbrella so I just run to a nearby covered walk leading back to our office, then I read the message.

I made a further research to verify and I read about this:

Although there has been two explosions in the Fukushima nuclear plant and a possible meltdown might occur, there has been no radiation leak yet that can reach other countries. In fact, only those inside the 12 mile radius from the plant are susceptible to current partial radiation leakage.

And for us Filipinos, be NOT afraid as the  Philippine Nuclear Research Institute (PNRI) issued a statement saying that radiation levels in the Philippine environment are all normal.

The DOST-PNRI routinely undertakes daily radioactivity monitoring in the environment. Based on DOST-PNRI monitoring, there has been no increase in the levels of radioactivity since the time of the Fukushima event.
A plume trajectory study from the Fukushima site by the World Meteorological Organization based in Melbourne, Australia showed that the plume from the site of the incident will not pass the Philippine territory as of March 14, 2011.

I am pretty sure that this things will erase all those fears.

Clad Your Building With Metal Cladding

Since I get involved in the Procurement Office, I became acquainted with all construction materials for our Infrastructure Projects. Materials like aluminum and metal cladding is quite expensive but the finished product is good to look at  especially on the facade of the buildings since it comes in varied colors.
So if you have already decided to make your own design of your building, consider cladding as part of the materials to be used.
