Gift Ideas for a Great Neighbor

Man's Best Friend Dog Gift
If you’ve got a person on your block who is the first to volunteer if you need a babysitter, home project helper or someone to check on your house while you’re on vacation, recognize her with a thoughtful gift. Although it might not repay her for every kindness she’s shown your family, it will illustrate how much you appreciate her and all she’s done for you over the years.

Furry Friends

If you always have a morning conversation with your neighbor as she’s taking her furry friend for a walk, give her a gift that she can share with her beloved canine companion. Present her with dog gift baskets that include items such as treats, chew toys, biscuits, bones and tennis balls, for instance. Contain everything in a large tin that can double as an outdoor water bowl.

Meal Kits

Even if your neighbor loves to cook, meal kit delivery services can give her a little break on the nights that she’s too busy to grocery shop and devise a menu on her own. Consider a service that provides the ingredients and recipes for one person if she often dines alone or one that offers enough to prepare a main dish and sides for her entire family.

Helping Hands

Create a coupon book filled with offers that your neighbor can redeem when she’s in need of assistance. Volunteer your time to pet sit while her family is on vacation, complete a few hours of yard work or completely clean out her garage, for instance. If she’s helpful to multiple families in the neighborhood, consider gathering vouchers for their time as well.
Dependable neighbors that you can care about, share a laugh with and trust implicitly are a rare commodity. Show the one that you’ve got that you’re thankful for the way she makes your life brighter, safer and easier.
