Yes indeed. That is what we ought to do... And in order to do that we need to have considerable if not immeasurable amount of patience. We need to remain firm until the end. But apart from God, we cannot do that. Human as we are, we are vulnerable to sin, we are imperfect. But by the grace of God, we are saved. By His grace, we become pure...

And by His grace alone, we can stay pure and blameless before the eyes of God.

Happy Tuesday! Welcome back again to Stumble Tumble Tuesday...

The unhelpful heritage vanishes...

Dealing with a class that was dominated with men (with only ONE female) is indeed a very challenging task for me as a teacher. They are my freshmen Mechanical Engineering students. They are of different background with different attitudes. My six years of experience in teaching somehow lighten up the load. I have experienced dealing a student with tantrums, a student who just love to copy his classmate's output than making his own, a student who always get absent from my class and a student who wants to impressed you to the max! 

But one thing that I appreciate the most in dealing with such kinds of students is that I learned from them. 

I learned the value of patience...

I learned the art of listening...

I learned the importance of being considerate...

Above all, I learned to accept all their differences knowing that I, myself, is imperfect as well. (It just so happened that I was the teacher and they were the students.)

In their own little way, they knew how to brighten up my day when it seems too gloomy...

They even knew when to keep silent when it seems like I don't want to talk...

They also learn how to control themselves when they almost go beyond to what we have agreed... We agreed not to utter bad words in class and they were aware if they failed to keep such agreements... They remind each other...

They can make lots of excuses for being absent and I gave them the freedom to do so however, at the expense of their grades. I can determine their lies from the truth... Even that, they were already aware.

I was just completely amazed how they were able to perform their projects with less explanations... how they tried to hide that mistakes but whenever I discovered it they just laugh...

These were the little men of my life... Not literally of course because they are all much taller than me...

I just enjoyed spending my time with them... 

They are another batch of quite naughty yet charming and talented students.

5. Would you rather live without tv or without music? I can live without television as long as there is music... (but not for too long though ;)

Maybe all of us dreamed to have a better relationship with anyone else... Maybe all of us longed to maintain a healthy feeling towards one another... and maybe all of us wants to get along well with all the people that we may encounter along the way.

Obviously because we all love PEACE. Who wants to fight against anyone else anyway? Not unless, you are not on your mind today.

It is even much better to maintain a symbiotic relationship not only with other people not so close to you but to your love ones especially!

That was my ultimate dream.

The hardest fight to make up is the fight with your love ones. When painful things have been said already, when misunderstanding arises, indeed it is really hard to patch up. When we are hurt by our love ones, it is the most unbearable thing that could happen. These are the people whom you grow up with for so many years. These are the people that you cry with and laugh with since time immemorial... These are the same people who could tell so much about you and who could be so proud of you at the same time.

If you felt like you are being misunderstood right now, I feel for you.

If you felt like you are in pain right now, I feel for you...

Just bear in mind then that in every ordeals, there are lessons that we could learn.

We might be misunderstood sometimes but it shall come to pass...

Yes, it will really come to pass whether you believe me or not.

And exactly that was what I did yesterday. It's been almost or maybe more than a month already that I have suffered and endured hard cough by taking (based on my own prescriptions) cough med, syrups and herbs. However, my condition does not improve (positively). My huggy accompanied me then to Dr. Irnie Dave Obias. He said I have Allergic Bronchitis and he prescribed me with, well FOUR kinds of medicine that I need to take for straight FIVE days. And IF, the symptoms STILL persist, I need to go back to him for an X-Ray recommendation (ouch!). Good thing he does not charge me with a consultation fee (He is a family friend of my huggy- to my advantage) plus I got a discount of almost P300.00 for the medicines (what a blessings indeed). 

I tried to learn about Allergic Bronchitis, as I have only known Allergic Rhinitis (which I experienced last December). So far based on my research, I have learned the following:

Allergic bronchitis is a type of asthma, which causes the obstruction of the airways when the bronchi or the air passages of the lungs become filled up with mucous during an asthma attack. Respiratory illnesses have significant effects on the lives of millions of people. It can be acute, when it is a short term illness and easily treatable. In allergic bronchitis, both asthma symptoms and allergies are present which can cause hay fever and allergic rhinitis. By far, the majority of cases of bronchitis stem from viral infections.

Allergic bronchitis is manageable, however if you have this illness you must also be aware that it can be dangerous at times. It is important that you know how to deal with it whenever you are exposed to unexpected allergen, like taking medications with you at all times in case of emergency.

While everything stated above is TRUE, my Doctor also said that allergic bronchitis is also caused by STRESS

Well, I would say that it is not really that manageable AND so annoying too. I experienced waking up on the middle of the night. My doctor also said that one cause of this is the smoke we inhaled from the cigarette. Indeed it is very TRUE. SMOKING is one of the things I hated the most. I cannot help myself but nag sometimes whenever I am in public vehicle and someone else is smoking. Passive smoker (referring to us, non-smoker- the official inhalator of their smoke) is more in danger compared to those who actually smoke if disadvantages will be the issue.

So, for those who cannot help themselves from SMOKING, please respect those people around you. Be sensitive. Smoking can kill, not directly but indirectly. Thou shall NOT kill.

Have mercy on us. 

Being involved in procurement section is a tough job. Everything is documented from what was being discussed and what was being agreed by the procurement Committee. Taking down notes and documenting everything has become part of my lifestyle as staff of Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) in our school. Jotting down all the key points during BAC session is not easy. - Unfortunately, I do not know how to drive (even a bicycle), so definitely NO.

-Exotic foods (like cultured cockroach and other insects ;), durian fruit

3. Do you buy Girl Scout Cookies? What is your favorite kind?

- Nope, i haven't tried it yet but it sounds so sweet and delicious.

4. How do you pamper yourself?

- Have my toe nails and hair rebonded at the salon

5. What is your nickname and how did you get it?

- Jackie. Actually it is only the spelling that was changed. It used to be Jacky before, way back in high school days. Though some old acquaintances called me Jack-jack. However, I am working out the "eikcaj" (spelled backward as jackie) on which few of my church mates have called me that way already ;)

Super duo couple: Mark & Joey, Huggy & Me!

I always keep this verse in my heart. I may not able to memorize it verbatim but the context is very clear to me. When things seems not in accordance to all my plans, this is the first thing that God will impress into my heart followed by what I firmly believe that EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON.

Recently, I went through a lot emotionally. Though it wasn't over yet but I am still hopeful that soon I can get over it and everything will be okay. I was also confronted with my future plans together with my significant other. I am the pessimistic type trying hard to be positive by all means. Though we are working on it but at the back of my mind, it is God's plan that shall prevail. 

"Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the LORD's purpose that prevails."

(Proverbs 19:21, NIV)

Yes indeed.


I knew that if it is really by His will, everything will work out smoothly. Even at this very moment as I wrote this piece, I can hear God's whisper in my ears "It is not your thoughts nor your ways, It is all MINE".


Not unless, He will grant it out of His Permissive Will instead of His Perfect Will. 


Well, I would still prefer for His Perfect Will, no matter what.
