Meet Me On Monday # 2:

Hello there! I'm back for Meet Me On Monday hosted by Java on Never Growing Old.

These are the questions of the week:

1.  Do you have a fireplace in your home?
2.  Can you drive a stick shift?
3.  How many computers are in your home?
4.  Are your taxes done yet?  Do you do them yourself?
5.  What is your favorite meal of the day?

Let's begin!

1.  Do you have a fireplace in your home?

- Unfortunately none. But I know someday, if God permits, I will be having my dream house with such a lovely fire place as above to be shared with my family.

2.  Can you drive a stick shift?

- Unfortunately, NO. I don't know how to drive at all even a bicycle :(

3. How many computers are in your home?

my PC behind me
Just ONE. A very old model, desktop type- purchased six years ago but still serviceable though quite a problem already. I am praying to own a new one, but this time, a portable one (laptop! would you care to donate? lol!)

4.  Are your taxes done yet?  Do you do them yourself?

-Updated! This is one thing that the government agency won't never ever forget. Every payroll, we are always deducted with this therefore the Bureau of Internal Revenue won't run after me for tax evasion lol!

5.  What is your favorite meal of the day?
Well, it really depends on what is on the table lol!

So, that's my entry for this week...

Awake!

“The earthquake has caused major damage in broad areas in northern Japan,” Prime Minister Naoto Kan said at a news conference. (PhilStar)

What's next then? Japan, one of the Asia's progressive countries was not spared to the nature's wrath! I saluted how Japan gave emphasis to doing and making things based on what is standard. However, some of their affected architectural designs that were earthquake proof were now torn down into rubbles. So sad.
A rampaging wall of water several meters high slams a coastal
community following a powerful earthquake in Natori, Miyagi
prefecture in Japan yesterday. Right photo shows giant fireballs
rising  from a burning oil refinery in Ichihara, Chiba prefecture.AP

Unlike the 9/11 Terrorist Attack in the land of milk and honey, this land of striking scenic beauty was shaken not with human factor but with nature.

This is a wake up call for all of us.

In the Science point of view, the Mother Earth is slowly deteriorating and very much vulnerable to natural destruction.

But all of these occurrences were already predicted even before these were preconceived by any human minds in our generation.

This was already revealed in the Holy Bible, the very Word of our Almighty God, the Creator.

Matthew 24
(The Destruction of the Temple and Signs of the End Times)

1 Jesus left the temple and was walking away when his disciples came up to him to call his attention to its buildings. 2 “Do you see all these things?” he asked. “Truly I tell you, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down.” 3 As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”

I have read this passage many times before and many times also it shivers me even by just merely thinking about it...

Indeed, the sign of the end of the age slowly revealed:
4 Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many. 6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.
Wars, famines, earthquakes? They are all happening now. And these are JUST THE BEGINNING. The crisis in the Middle East, the tsunami threat on Japan's neighboring countries and the shortage of food supplies that the world experiences right now have just started. Let us all be aware.

If we do not read His Word, we will have no idea about the truth. We could just simply blame it to the global climate change. Somehow, they are inter-related. As for me, the Science has just uncover what was written in the Bible thousands of years ago.

But all these things shall come to pass as we expectantly be waiting for the coming of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

As His Word says:

Romans 13:11
(The Day Is Near)
11 And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed.

Let us keep ourselves alive, alert and awake with His Words.

Yes, that was me with my classmates almost ten years ago...  I miss them so much. I don't have even an idea that this photo existed. Good thing Giljun (wearing white at the back) uploaded this on his facebook photos. I wonder where are these guys right now. We had our last reunion way back three or four years ago.

More Than Willing and Able

Ephesians 3:20-21 (New King James Version)

20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

Wow! I am so blessed with this Word! With the present situation that I have right now, this is the best passage that God would want to impress into my heart. I've been through a lot lately and doubts engulfed me. Last night's topic in our Lighthouse session is indeed a great reminder and I thanked Ate Mila so much for the enlightenment. I should cast away all my doubts. God is more than willing and able to do anything exceedingly, abundantly and even beyond what we could imagine because Our God is a great God! He can do something out of nothing. His plans are great! We just have to abide in Him.

Thank you so much Lord for Your Living Word.
I claim victory!
I declare blessings in Jesus Mighty Name! Amen.

The Many Uses of Boxes

All things were created for a reason, no matter how big or small that thing would be. Some of us do not give much value of those smaller things. However, there are some people who gives emphasis to them like boxes and other recyclable materials. Boxes has so many uses. Some of us might consider boxes as something worthy to be thrown well we should think again. Boxes is very useful in organizing your things especially when you are moving out to another places and not to mention, when you are giving away gifts for any occasions.

WFW: The Cross (Acts 2: 22-24)

The wonderful deed that Jesus Christ has done for us was indeed beyond compare...
Indeed, none of us can fathom His great love for us... His great love for me.
Despite the things that I've been through right now, I do still believe that He will not forsake me... that He will always be My God of Comfort... He will eventually heal me and will pave the way towards reconciliation...
Yes in due time, He will gonna make it happen...
I just need to endure the pain... And this pain is nothing compared to what He experienced on that rugged cross one fateful Friday.

To you Lord I entrust everything...
For I know that everything happens for a reason.
Just help me to e strong... help me to carry on.

Just Another Dispiriting Tuesday

Here I go again. The dispiriting moments of my life never ceases yet...
They hit me again not with sharp words but wrong perceptions... and it's getting painful everyday.
I try to console myself by thinking that everything will come to pass.
Yes, absolutely everything will come to pass...

But as the days went by, my heart slowly shattered into pieces...
Yes, here I go again, confronted with emotional battle.
I wish I could disappear for a moment
I wish for once my heart will not feel any pain anymore
I wish for once I will not get affected...
I wish for once I will become INSENSITIVE...

I am looking forward to a new beginning
Yet it seems like the season isn't in favor of me.
I do not know what to expect tomorrow.
If pain is still there...
How can I escape from it?

Should I go on or is it better for me to surrender?

*Deep sigh*

MYM: DOT New Slogan: Pilipinas Kay Ganda

Above is the new slogan used by the Department of Tourism in promoting our beloved country, Philippines... Previously it was WOW PHILIPPINES but now it is PILIPINAS KAY GANDA (Philippines, So Beautiful ;).

Beautiful indeed because Philippines is rich in natural resources and blessed with perfect scenery!

Like other countries, Philippines have also its share of downfall when it comes to economic aspect but the strength and faith of the Filipinos is what keeps them stand still amidst bad circumstances.

I am so proud to be a Filipino!

Blessed With Kind-hearted People

This morning, I was accompanied by my Huggy for my dental appointment. He then shared to me about what was discussed during the morning breakfast in the church. We sent a letter or shall I say a note of intent for our supposed Principal Sponsors. Two of them, Sir Melo and Atty. Felix, promised to give a monetary pledge for our upcoming Big Day.

Upon knowing it, I really thank God for those heart that they have for us. Indeed, they are such a blessing and we are so very thankful to them. Some of our brethren also promise to donate something and I was really overwhelmed with their all-out support.

Little by little, all my apprehensions disappear knowing that we are surrounded and blessed with kind-hearted people.

Love it!
