The Account of A Desperate Woman...

Call me desperate... yes I admit, I am. I am desperate to lose weight... I am desperate to gain height, I am desperate to work abroad, I am desperate to find a really stable job. All this desperations cause me stress. Yes, by just merely thinking about it, it stress me a lot. While it's true that I should not worry about my tomorrow for it is already in God's hand but human as I am, I cannot help it but wonder and ask-how long should I wait for God to reveal His ultimate and perfect plan for me?

My thought really wonders specially now that I was stranded again by the heavy downpour, but yes that's how I felt right now...

Taking Responsibilities...

If you are task to man a certain group pf people, you need to take the responsibility. As for me, it is not easy to be in-charge. If you are in-charge on a certain thing, you must be willing to take the risk... and the external and internal pressures that comes from the lower and upper portion of your domain. You have a boss that you need to obey... you have people under you that you need to guide. Without cooperation from those under your command, you will really be stressed. Talking about stress, one must identify his/her stressors... In my case-
well... I just keep it to myself ^_^

MoreThanWords
More than words, but I've got something to say today....

I was having a hard and tiring day today. When I came to the office this morning, the floor was covered with mud and water flood. What I did was to go to my apartment and change my clothes and bring some for my colleagues...
This is not uncommon to us.. We are used to this.. Thank God all the files are safe (unlike last November).

Oops we're not done yet by the time I posted this.... ^_^ Time to clean up!

So funny because we still managed to pose before the camera... Fun fun fun....

For the Love of the Country...

I love World History subject. Back in my High School Days, I love it when our teacher unfolds before us the significant event that concerned the whole wide world. Specifically, I am very interested to listen about the World War stories. I heard a lot of them from my late grand father. He is a Veteran, the unsung hero during his time.

Looking back, every country has its line of defense that will safeguard the citizens against terrorism. I should have known that being a citizen from one of the feared regions of the Philippines. Once in a while if not oftentimes, I heard news about war and terrorism not only on my country but other countries as well. The front liners are our soldiers who are willing to die in the name of love and freedom to the country to which they belong. World Wars 1 and 2 that became highlight in World History subjects acknowledged the bravery of American soldiers who fought not only for their own country but for their allies as well. Who can forget the Vietnam War which cost thousands of lives both armed forces and ordinary citizens. But again that’s all written in the World History book.

And now, facing the present and anticipating the future, there are still a lot of stories to unfold which will be incorporated in the updated World History Book soon. Isn’t it more worth reading if what our grand children read on their history book are the generosity of every citizen who paid greater respect in honor of those who wage their lives for the country?- the Veterans.

Generosity in broader aspect means, giving what we have to those who needed it the most. One concrete example is car donation. Too extravagant to do, others might think, but upon knowing that through this way we can help the community and our country as a whole, then one wouldn’t have any second thought to do so. Why donate car to charity? Talking about war, I got this idea from the advocacy of the Vietnam Veterans of America initiated by the Illinois State Council. The idea they have implemented is simple, fast and secure through car donation charities. They initiated this to help in providing critical support services for their defenders.

What a great cause. Hopefully, our Armed Forces here in the Philippines would come up with similar brilliant ideas.

WFW: Acts 1:8

Expanding our territory... spreading the Gospel... Making Christ known...

What's so difficult with this that it seems like only a few made this as a commitment and part of their daily journey?

What happened to us that we cannot do such simple thing?

What happened to those who have done it yet out of obligation and not of passion?

What happened to me that I easily get discouraged when every time I will do it, I am rejected?

Think think think... What happened to our first love?

Have we forgotten it?

Have we lost that compassion for those who are lost not only within our territory but beyond?

I plead guilty to all of these...

Think think think...

Wanna have Lady Gaga's look?

An Ophthalmologist from Stahl Eye Center New York warned the teens who tried to imitate Lady Gaga's look on his Bad Romance music video. The kind of  online contact lenses that she used may cause permanent loss of vision if not fitted properly as this may cause eye infection. All Lady Gaga's fan should heed this warning if they want to see their future brighter and clearer.

Marital Bliss

Marriages are ought to be sanctified... cherished and meant to last forever. Unfortunately, some couple overlooked the value of Marriage. It cannot be denied that Divorce or Annulment became a trend. One sign of misunderstanding can lead to separation. Some couples are short with patience. Whether celebrities or ordinary people both shared the same dilemma- facing marital conflict and unable to overcome it. This is possible to those who do not considered Marriage as a sacred union... to those who do not have knowledge that what God has bound together shall not be separated. This is the blatant truth that even my own parents is not an exception.

But how can one stay in marriage when it is already poisoned with infidelity? How can one stand the feeling of animosity caused by broken vows? Sometimes, patience became devalued when overcome with the issue of trust and fidelity...

Of course no marrying couples want to end up on this kind of dilemma. Our last recourse would be entrusting to God our partner that they should be His chosen one or else...

What an insightful Saturday!

Note: That pic was of my parents... the only one that's left, it was torn by the flood for the second time

Standing Firm...

PhotobucketI am deeply honored to post about this man on the picture. He is just an ordinary man with an extra ordinary heart. He is known for being straightforward. A principled man who fears no one except GOD. Some may misunderstood him for being so bold but many admired him for being such. He is a mentor, a trainor, a counselor and a father. He is tough yet soft-hearted. A loving husband and a responsible father. A disciplinarian and a man after God's heart.

He is our Boss, our Kuya, our Tatay and our Teacher... a multi-tasking man, quick tempered but cools down easily... He believe that nobody is perfect and that knowledge is power.

We are so blessed for having him as our leader... This man just experienced God's faithfulness in his life... To you Sir Melo, Happy happy Birthday!

When Lightning Strikes...

The morning news shivers me about the old woman from Laoag City who became the latest victim of lightning stikes and was dead on the spot...

Then a thought occur to me about death... It can really happen at the very unexpected moment of our life...

Death is the greatest equalizer so to speak. Regardless of our economic status, professions, age and beliefs... Death will really come.

The question now is not how or when...

The question is: HOW READY ARE WE?

This pic is quite funny... I'm at the back but unfortunately, my beauty here is quite invisible... it was covered with the big open palm of my huggy... This was taken right after the Sunday service...

TT: Service

Photobucket"Our first ministry should be our family"... this resounding truth lingers in my mind... And I know I heard it right... since my Ate left for Canada to join her hubby, it was only me, my Mama and Tatay who were left at home but in most cases, it was only the two of them since I am renting an apartment near my workplace. That is why every time I got the chance to be home, I tried to be of service to them especially to my Tatay who went through an Alternative Medication for his diabetes. Tuesday night, right after our Bible Study with my Nav's family, I went home (Thanks to Noli and Dahly for a free ride). I had a massage session with my Tatay and Mama... I enjoyed the moment knowing that they both wanted it so much. My Mama is now the Personal Caregiver of my Tatay. She personally administer the medicine and prepare the Boiled Puso sa Saging (hehehehe... how should I translate that? Banana's Heart?) There's a lot of foods to avoid. He only allowed to eat sweet potato (camote), uncooked banana (cardaba), soya milk. He also has to take molasses and honey, good thing his stomach easily adjusted. He is not allowed to drink milk, juice and coffee, he is not allowed to eat meat and preserved foods. No MSG, and a lot more. All vegetables and fruits are okay for him. My Tatay, or my Mama rather, should follow all the instruction given by the Doctor. He needs to undergo total cleansing which will last for a week. This alone already cost us almost 4K (thanks to the financial supports of my sisters). While massaging my Tatay, I declared healing through my payers. I know that through faith, he will be completely healed and by God's grace.

Thank you as well for your prayers...
