Getting a Better Vision With Style

Long exposure to computer can really affects our vision. Just like me, since encoding has been a part of my job, I usually get blurry vision when exposed to direct light. I cannot read smaller fonts anymore from a considerable distance. What is so disgusting then was the fact that once our vision will be affected it caused some headache. My mother advised me to wear prescription glasses but I do not personally like it because it may not look good to me at all. I visited some eyeglass boutique but I can't dare to wear nor try one. However, rather than sacrificing my work because of my eye condition, maybe it's high time for me to really have one.
Observing from my surrounding, wearing eyeglasses nowadays becomes a fashion statement considering that some prescription glasses today comes in fashionable frame. Wearing eyeglasses may not look good to some but as long as it is stylish it will be better then. Somehow it gives me the idea to try one from Zenni Optical.
They offer complete eyeglasses in various popular frames with a starting  cost of $8.00 only! Their complete eyeglasses comes with high quality stylish frames, thin and light 1.57 index lens, microfiber lens cleaning cloth and a whole lot more! For online orders, shipping and handling is only $4.95 regardless of the quantities. We will be assured of guaranteed quality eyeglasses. They also offered a lot of frames to choose from which will really suits our lifestyle.

This Is For My Ate...

Sometimes, we are so negligence of the fact that we tend to ignore people who had immediate contact with us... We are sometimes more close to others than to our own blood... Ate and I shared the same thoughts and feelings.. She had her own circle of friends and I have mine... We seldom talk seriously. We do have some nonsense fights (as some sisters usually do) We oftentimes argued on things which we just simply drop when seems irreconcilable.

Now that she's gone to reunite with her husband in Canada, only then I realized that we both missed so much time spending with each other... Reality bites, we only recognized the presence of our dear one when they are already far from us...

This post (with our good times being together)is specially intended for her...

One of our finest moments together...

During her wedding...

Miss you!

Learning Piano...

Music has been a part of me since I was just a little kid. I love to sing and I love to play musical instruments. I tried guitar and I also tried playing keyboard. But there’s one musical instrument that I long to play but I just do not know how. It’s the piano. I always admired those people who are gifted enough with this kind of talent. I truly find them so amazing. Soulful music accompanied with piano will really penetrate down to our soul.

There are many piano lessons today offered within our locality but time at work is so in demand that I cannot fit piano classes on my schedule. Surprisingly, piano lessons can be learned through online! It is truly amazing for those who took the initiative of giving online lessons. IThanks to Miss Yoke Wong. Indeed, there’s no reason for those piano enthusiast like me not to learn since it was already provided. At  her website on http://www.pianomother.com/, we can learn musical rhythm using online Piano Rhythm course. It has 296 rhythm exercises and more than 30 video clips available. With these, learning how to play piano wouldn’t be that hard anymore.

In http://www.pianomother.com/ they offer various course, from the newbie to the trainee. For me, the greatest challenges would be reading notes. Aside from beginners, they also offer special course for the composers. For those who do not have a daily access to the internet, they also offer a home study lessons at a very reasonable price. Piano lessons in DVD is also available for those who want to excel more in piano!

So pick your choice or better yet, visit their website right now for more info.

MYM/RT: EMPOWERMENT

EMPOWERMENT. This was the theme of last year's FAMILY CAMP! Few weeks from now we'll be holding another one at Musuan Bukidnon! Whew I am so excited! The place where I learned to love so much since my younger years... It is the place that teach me how to value simplicity and contentment... A place where I learned to be independent for awhile...A place that taught me how to trust people and how to value real friendship...  A place where each day is a survival... A place where I had my first crush... my first climb on top of the Musuan Peak! How I miss the fresh cow's milk! the first taste of pili nut! and so much more! Wow indeed! I'm looking forward to another exciting, reviving, reminiscing and enlightening experience!
I'm excited!

TCP: Freedom Writers

Hi I'm back! I am having my early (blog) vacation... Got a handful of work... stress becomes inevitable. But I am happy to be back and excited as well for this week's episode School Is Fun. I would like to feature Hilary Swank's performance in FREEDOM WRITER! Such a wonderful movie! A challenging movie and somehow I can relate to this... I am handling different kinds of student with different attitude.
Here's the synopsis:
Hilary Swank stars in this gripping story of inner city kids raised on drive-by shootings and hard-core attitude - and the teacher who gives them the one thing they need most: a voice of there own. Dropped into the free-fire zone of a school torn by violence and racial tension, teacher Erin Gruwell battles an uncaring system in a fight to make the classroom matter in her students lives. Now, telling their own stories, and hearing the stories of others, a group of supposedly "unteachable" teens will discover the power of tolerence, reclaim their shattered lives, and change their world.
And the trailer:
Have fun and just ENJOY THE SHOW!

I Surrender

This has been a long week for me... I went through some ordeals that only God can understand. I'd been seeking for the real purpose of my existence. Partly, God revealed it to me. Little by little God unfolds His desire for me. But Satan never stops destructing me. He caused me to think negatively, to view life as quite unfair. I should be strong when I am on this kind of situation because the power of God is within me. I realized and I should do this before it will consumes me, to let go of all my my struggles in life (impatience, pessimism, too much sensitivity) Satan knows how I reacted on things that let me down. He took advantage on my weaknesses. But greater is He who is within me... God is my strength! I should not forget that.

I want to remind myself that it is God alone whom I can run to... I should surrender everything to His control... Lord here I am.

Thoughts I Pondered...

Sometimes, life is hard to deal with.
Circumstances overwhelmed us, no matter how we tried to find joy in the midst of trouble, it's hard and even harder if we are being pressured.
They said, in order to survive we need to overcome all the life's issues and concerns.
The kind of people whom we dealt with everyday, are the same people who may break or make our day.
They are the people who may lift us up or put us down.
The real challenge that we need to overcome is ourselves.
How we deal with pressures affects our emotion, our attitude and our thoughts.
How we deal with others matters most.
Reality check. People are tend to be insensitive.
Dealing with those kind of people is far more harder than dealing with a fool.
What a gloomy day!

Setbacks

Sometimes we are consumed with our thoughts and emotions. Oftentimes, they do not get along well with each other. In other words, we are in the state of confusion... I used to believe that something good is about to happen to me, I used to feel it though I cannot deny the fact that my mind does not agree with me. I am pessimistic by nature. I do not believe in fate nor in destiny. "Come what may" was the trend that I used to follow. However when I came across the word "faith" I decided to change my perspective in life. But it's not that easy as I thought it would be. My old belief used to haunt me, telling me that everything is about luck, a game of chance. At my age, I do not find myself emotionally stable, I do not consider myself mature. I do not even know what I really want in life. Frustrations is within my reach. I easily get discourage, I easily lose hope. I became overly sensitive. At work, I always aim for perfection but the more I strive for it, the more I am overwhelmed with challenges. They used to tell me I am good but deep inside I know I am a failure. Was my mind and heart pulling me down or I am just too perfectionist that I forgot my limitation as a human being? I felt so exhausted and yet accomplish only a few. I wonder what life would be if I stop dreaming? Maybe then and only then I can have that peace of mind that I long to have or maybe I just stop from expecting too much to ease the pain that it might caused me.I used to ask God what He really want for me. I used to ask Him to reveal all His plan He set for me. I used to claim His words in Jeremiah 29:11... but it seems like bleak and difficult.I am not questioning His Sovereignty, I just cannot comprehend (or maybe I just refused to do so). My impatience is pulling me down. I appeared to be strong yet deep inside I am lost. I just do not know what lies ahead of me. I cannot picture it out. I am emotionally disturbed. Have I done something that caused God to delay all His plans for me? Lately I felt so weak and helpless. I felt like giving up. There is something that I want but I just do know what exactly it was. I wish I could read God's mind but I was reminded that my thought is not His thought and my ways is not His ways. I have so many setbacks in life and frankly speaking, I do not know how to overcome it all.

No More Cooked Rice?

Prices on basic commodities are getting higher... Just recently we had our LPG tank refilled and it has an increase of almost P200.00. Well, oil price hike is quite unbearable now but by the grace of God we're able to survive.
The science and technologies now never stop in innovating/ discovering ideas that will help the situation. In fact I have read a news about a rice invented by Indian Agriculture Scientist which need not to cook anymore.. Amazing isn't it? Well take a look at this video:

If India can do that, well, why not give it a try Kapuso?

6 Ways to Reduce Stress and Protect Your Heart (a well-taken info)

Reduce the harmful effects of stress on your heart and mind.

Medically reviewed by Rosalyn Carson-DeWitt, MD
People with heart health concerns should be especially careful about managing the different sources of stress in their lives. The body's natural response to stress can increase your heart rate, raise your blood pressure, and release stress hormones, according to experts at the Journal of American Medicine Association. Stress also forces the heart muscle to work harder. high cholesterol levels, a person's inclination toward smoking, the urge to overeat, and lack of interest in physical activity. Robert Ostfeld, MD, M.Sc., an associate professor of clinical medicine at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City, adds that stress can put a strain on blood vessels and predispose a person to heart disease. "It's not healthy for you heart," says Dr. Ostfeld, "but there are a variety of techniques that can help you reduce the stress in your life." The American Heart Association (AHA) suggests that acute and chronic stress may also affect other risk factors and behaviors, such as
  1. Build a Support System
Start by talking to your spouse, family, and close friends about your health and your aspirations to manage the stress in your life. They may be able to help you take on, reduce, or alleviate certain stressors. You may also consider joining a support group for people with similar heart-related health conditions or starting individual counseling to help you learn more effective ways for tackling stressful situations.
  2. Recognize Your Stress Triggers
Learn to identify the things in your life that trigger stress — the workload at your job, frustrating relationships with family members or friends, driving in traffic, fear revolving around your health condition — and try to figure out ways to either avoid those triggers, or cope better with them through improved communication, deep breathing exercises, anger management, or even talk therapy.
  3. Schedule in 'Time-Outs'
Ostfeld suggests making a concerted effort to take time out of your day to relax. It can be as easy as taking 20 minutes to simply sit and think, to take a bath, or engage in an activity that sooths you, like reading, doing a crossword puzzle, or practicing some yoga.
  4. Find Fun Stress-Relieving Activities
Jogging, cycling, swimming, and walking a dog are examples of physical activities that are not only good for your overall health, but are also smart ways to reduce stress, according to Ostfeld. Choose an activity (or several) that you enjoy and do them regularly to keep your stress levels under control, but be sure to check with your physician before starting any exercise regimen.
  5. Soothe Your Soul With Music
Music can go a long way in improving your mood on your commute to work, at the office, while working out, or even while grocery shopping. When you're starting to feel the effects of stress, turn to your favorite songs, playlists, or station on the radio. "Listening to calming music," Ostfeld adds, "may also lower blood pressure."
  6. Learn How to Say "No"
One of the best ways to manage the stress in your life is to avoid taking on more responsibilities or social obligations. Set boundaries with family members or friends, be assertive when it comes to your workload and hours, and plan your schedule so you have the time you need to get things done. "Structure your life in a way that helps you manage stress," suggests Ostfeld. "And don't sweat the small stuff."

TT: Confidence

I have been into blogging for almost a year. At first I am so engrossed with blogging that it became a part of me... Months passed by and the demands of my work is increasing thus I need to lie low in blogging. Then Ate Grace encouraged me to pursue blogging so that soon I can monetize it.So I did and have myself registered to multiple websites that offers opportunities, and one of them is socialspark.com. It took me for awhile for my blog to be approvd by their management... But it's worth the wait.. I am now enjoying writing through the opportunities their advertiser allowed me to take. From $5 to $7.50 and the latest was $30! What encouraged me most to write about this was the fact that my post was chosen as BEST POST TO DATE... Well I know that many best post are still coming but at least I made it there! The opportunity was sponsored by the Syndacast company. Of course the least thing that I can do in return to this best opportunity (so far) is to post my comment of gratitude....

iLove it!
Oh by the way, you might be wondering why I have this post titled as Confidence its because, at first I was really hesitant to pursue this post with apprehensions that I may not be qualified or worst be rejected... Thank God He gave me the confidence that I need...

WFW: Morality Recession

The real recession that the world felt right now is not solely economic recession but rather MORALITY RECESSION... The crisis begins when people tend to disobey the will of God.
We should not forget the main purpose of our existence here on Earth... it's no less than GLORIFYING GOD and do things as He commanded.
Have an Insightful Wednesday filled with His Word and wisdom.
God bless

Blessed Registered Nurses (TATAK BHCCCI)

MellowYellowMondayBadgeToday is brighter than yellow, you know why? three of our church mates made it to the Nursing Board exam! Praise God! What a good day to start for February! This POST is intended for these faithful young women who labored much and painstakingly took the comprehensive, intensive, purposive (what else?)grueling reviews coupled with prayers, prayers and prayers! I knew it from the start that they can make it. I know they deserve it... While keeping themselves busy with their review, they never neglected their ministry! Indeed, they are truly empowered to do God's will and in return, God gave them the best (as of this moment) time of their lives! I made it to a point to give credits to their achievement so I searched for their names and have it copied and pasted here... (Proof of their God-given wisdom and intellect)

Congratulations to our newly registered nurses of BHHHCI!

 Julie
